Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
