Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
