The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the snorting, panting horses, 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
