The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 and produce sparks 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
