Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: Hoarding (Al-Takaathur). Sent down in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
