Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The craving for ever-greater worldly gains and to excel others in that regard keeps you occupied 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 Again, no indeed; but soon you shall know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
