Al-Takaathur
Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
