The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 It will engulf them. 8 In outstretched columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
