The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 thinking his riches have made him immortal! 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in columns outstretched. 9
