The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 in endless columns! 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
