Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Have you seen the one who calls the religion a lie? 1 That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness, 2 and never encourages the feeding of the destitute. 3 So woe to those who pray 4 who are heedless of their prayers (delaying them from their prescribed times), 5 Those who (want but) to be seen (of men), 6 And withhold things of common use (from others). 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
