Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! 3 And his wife also: the firewood carrier; 4 A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
