Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 He shall soon enter a Blazing Fire, 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
