Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
