Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 He will be roasted in the fire, 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
