Children of Israel! remember My favour wherewith I favoured you, and fulfil My covenant, and I shall fulfil your covenant, and Me alone shall ye dread. 40 And believe in what I have sent down which verifies what is already with you; and do not be the first to deny it, nor part with it for little gain; and beware of Me. 41 And do not confound the truth with vanity, and do not conceal the truth wittingly. 42 And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience]. 43 ۞ Do you bid other people to be pious, the while you forget your own selves - and yet you recite the divine writ? Will you not, then, use your reason?! 44 Seek you help in patience and prayer, for grievous it is, save to the humble 45 who reckon that they shall meet their Lord and that unto Him they are returning. 46
