Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8
