So, when the envoys came to the folk of Lot, 61 he said: "Surely you are an unknown folk." 62 They said: Nay, we have come to you with that about which they disputed. 63 We have come to thee with the truth, and assuredly we speak truly. 64 So set out thou with thy house hold in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs, and let not one of you look back, and pass whither ye are commanded. 65 And We decreed unto him this commandment because the last of those was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 He said: 'These are my guests; do not shame me. 68 and fear God, and do not degrade me.' 69 They (people of the city) said: "Did we not forbid you to entertain (or protect) any of the 'Alamin (people, foreigners, strangers, etc. from us)?" 70 He said: 'Here are my daughters; take them (in marriage), if you would be doing' 71 [But the angels spoke thus:] "As thou livest, [O Lot, they will not listen to thee:] behold, in their delirium [of lust] they are but blindly stumbling to and fro!" 72 So the rumbling overtook them (while) entering upon the time of sunrise; 73 and turned the land upside down, and rained down stones of baked clay. 74 There are great Signs in this for those endowed with intelligence. 75 And the (cities were) right on the high-road. 76 Verily in that is a sign for the believers. 77 And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers. 78 We therefore took revenge from them; and indeed both these townships are situated on an open road. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
