Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
