Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 Then when he was come thereto, he was cried unto. O Musa! 11 Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." 18 He said: 'Moses, cast it down' 19 and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 “In order that We may show you Our great signs.” 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
