Al-Insan 2 of 2
Verily! It is We Who have sent down the Quran to you (O Muhammad SAW) by stages. 23 therefore be patient under the Judgement of your Lord, and do not obey either the sinner or the unbeliever. 24 And, remember the Name of your Lord at the dawn and in the evening; 25 And during the night - worship Him; and hallow Him the livelong night. 26 As to these, they love the fleeting life, and put away behind them a Day (that will be) hard. 27 We created them, and We strengthened their joints; and, when We will, We shall exchange their likes. 28 Surely this is a reminder, so whoever pleases takes to his Lord a way. 29 But your willing shall be of no avail until Allah Himself so wills. Surely Allah is All-Knowing, Most Wise. 30 He will admit to His Mercy whom He will; But the wrong-doers,- for them has He prepared a grievous Penalty. 31
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
