The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
