And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter into the hearts of the guilty. 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 What thinkest thou? If We give them enjoyment of days for many years, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 they are not supposed to do so. Nor do have they the ability for such a task. 211 Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 And warn your near relations, 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 Surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
