Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 noble, recording, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
