Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
