Behold, thy Lord called Moses: "Go to the people of iniquity,- 10 The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allah and become righteous?" 11 He answered: "O my Sustainer! Behold, I fear that they will give me the lie, 12 "And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Harun (Aaron) (to come along with me). 13 Moreover, they keep a grave charge [pending] against me, and I fear that they will slay me." 14 He said: by no means. So go ye twain with Our signs; verily We shall be with you listening. 15 And come together unto Pharaoh and say: Lo! we bear a message of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 let the Children of Israel go with us!'" 17 Pharaoh said to Moses, "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you spent several years of your life with us. 18 “And you committed the deed of yours that you committed, and you were ungrateful.” 19 Musa (Moses) said: "I did it then, when I was an ignorant (as regards my Lord and His Message). 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord vouchsafed me a command and appointed me (of the number) of those sent (by Him). 21 And that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the Children of Isra'il? 22 Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? 23 'He' (Moses) replied: 'is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you believe' 24 Said Firaun to those around him, “Are you not listening with attention?” 25 (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers from the beginning!" 26 (The Pharaoh) said (to his nobles): "Your apostle who has been sent to you, is certainly mad." 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 Pharaoh said, "If you put forward any god other than me, I will surely put you in prison". 29 and Moses asked, "Even if I show you a clear sign?" 30 (Pharaoh) said: Produce it then, if thou art of the truthful! 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it looked white to the beholders. 33
