Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 What, would they then say: 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 And turn away from them for some time. 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
