Hizb 46
< random >
Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 and see; soon they shall see! 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
