The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 BEHOLD, this [divine writ] is indeed a word that distinguishes between truth and falsehood, 13 it is not a jest. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
