Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
