3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 A lie-- gods besides Allah-- do you desire? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 All the people turned away from him 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 Then, We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous, 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
