And indeed We have created man and We know what his soul instils in him; and We are nearer to him than the hearts artery. 16 When the two receiving angels receive from him, one seated on the right and one on the left. 17 He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: this is that which thou hast been shunning. 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown; that is the Day of the Threat. 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 (It will be said:) "Thou wast heedless of this; now have We removed thy veil, and sharp is thy sight this Day!" 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 (And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate, 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His companion will say: Our Lord! I did not lead him into inordinacy but he himself was in a great error. 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
