And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. – 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 What, would they then say: 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That they would be helped, 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
