The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 by a burning fire 5 They sat by it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
