Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 So you and your deities 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 What, would they then say: 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
