The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
