Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 You shall know. 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
