One whose chest (heart and mind) is left open for Islam (submission to His will) shall receive light from God. Woe to those whose hearts have become like stone against the remembrance of God. They are clearly in error. 22 God has sent down the best Message: a Scripture that is consimilar and oft-repeated: that causes the skins of those in awe of their Lord to creep. Then their skins and their hearts soften at the mention of God: such is God's guidance. He bestows it upon whoever He will; but no one can guide those whom God leaves to stray. 23 Is he then, who will strike his face against the awful doom upon the Day of Resurrection (as he who doeth right)? And it will be said unto the wrong-doers: Taste what ye used to earn. 24 Those before them belied, and so the torment came on them from directions they perceived not. 25 So Allah made them taste disgrace in worldly life. But the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew. 26 And assuredly We have propounded for mankind in this Qur'an all kinds of similitudes, that haply they may be admonished. 27 An Arabic Quran without any crookedness, that they may guard (against evil). 28 God tells a parable in which there is a company of quarrelsome people and only one of them is well disciplined. Can they be considered as equal? It is only God who deserves all praise. In fact, most of them do not know. 29 Lo! thou wilt die, and lo! they will die; 30 Then verily on the Day of Resurrection, before your Lord ye shall contend. 31
