۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 The Pharaoh sent word to all the cities saying, 53 saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 54 "And verily, they have done what has enraged us; 55 and we are a host on our guard' 56 Thus did We drive them out of their gardens and springs 57 And from treasures and nice houses. 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 So when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa cried out: Most surely we are being overtaken. 61 Said he, 'No indeed; surely my Lord is with me; He will guide me.' 62 Then We inspired Musa (Moses) (saying): "Strike the sea with your stick." And it parted, and each separate part (of that sea water) became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. 63 In the meantime We made the others approach that place. 64 and We saved Moses and all who were with him, 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 Indeed your Lord is mighty and merciful. 68
