Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 that this is indeed a noble Quran, 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Is it this Statement that ye scorn, 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Then how is it that when the (dying) breath is withdrawn into the throat (and rattles), 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 And if he is of those on the right hand, 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 and will be scorched by the Fire. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
