Messengers! Eat of that which is good and do good deeds; I have knowledge of the things you do. 51 Your religion is but one religion -- and I am your only Lord, therefore, fear Me. 52 But people later cut up their religion into bits, each group rejoicing in what they have. 53 So leave them in their error till a time. 54 Deem they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We enlarge them. 55 We are hastening to reward them for good deeds? No. They do not comprehend. 56 Those who tremble in fear of their Lord, 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 who associate none with their Lord in His Divinity, 59 who give what they give, with their hearts quaking, that they will return to their Lord: 60 Are the ones who hasten to goodness and outpace the others. 61 And [withal.] We do not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear: for with Us is a record that speaks the truth [about what men do and can do]; and none shall be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are in perplexity as to this, and they have deeds besides that that they are doing. 63 To the extent that when We seized the wealthy among them with punishment, they immediately began imploring. 64 Supplicate not this day! Assuredly ye will not be helped by Us. 65 Time and again were My messages conveyed unto you, but [every time] you would turn about on your heels 66 In pride (they Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary Haram), talking evil about it (the Quran) by night. 67 Have they not pondered over the word of God? Has something come to them that did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or did they not recognise their apostle, and rejected him? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 And should the truth follow their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those who are therein would have perished. Nay! We have brought to them their reminder, but from their reminder they turn aside. 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 And certainly, you (O Muhammad SAW) call them to a Straight Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are from the path deviating. 74 ۞ Though We had mercy on them and relieved them of the harm afflicting them, they still would wander blindly on in their contumacy. 75 We had seized them with the punishment, but they did not bow before their Lord nor turned to Him in humility, 76 until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it. 77
