The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 and produce sparks 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
