And when your Lord called to Moses, saying: 'Go to the harmdoing nation, 10 The folk of Pharaoh. Will they not ward off (evil)? 11 He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 "And they have a charge of crime against me, and I fear they will kill me." 14 [Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening. 15 They came to the Pharaoh and said, "We are the Messengers of the Lord of the Universe. 16 let the Children of Israel go with us!'" 17 (Pharaoh) said (unto Moses): Did we not rear thee among us as a child? And thou didst dwell many years of thy life among us, 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst; and thou art of the ingrates. 19 Moses said, "I did do it and I made a mistake. 20 so I fled from you, fearing you. But my Lord gave me Judgment and made me one of the Envoys. 21 And this is the past favour wherewith thou reproachest me: that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel. 22 Pharaoh said: 'And what is the Lord of the Worlds' 23 (Moses) said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye had but sure belief. 24 [Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?" 25 He said: your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers. 26 (Pharaoh) said: 'Surely, the Messenger who has been sent to you is mad!' 27 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense." 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?" 30 [Pharaoh] answered: "Produce it, then, if thou art a man of truth!" 31 He cast down his staff and thereupon it was a clear serpent. 32 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers. 33
