The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Event will come to pass 1 There is about its happening no lie. 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 they will become like dust scattered around. 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise). 8 And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? 9 Then the foremost, how pre-excellent, 10 Those are they who will be brought nigh 11 in the Gardens of Delight, 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 And a few from the later generations. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 with goblets, and ewers, and cups filled with water from unsullied springs 18 No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication: 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. 21 And wide eyed houris 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 As recompense for all they had done. 24 No Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk) will they hear therein, nor any sinful speech (like backbiting, etc.). 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 Among thorn-less lote-trees. 28 and banana trees, 29 In shade long-extended, 30 near to flowing water 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, 33 on raised couches. 34 and the noble maidens that We have created 35 and We made them spotless virgins, 36 Beloved (by nature), equal in age,- 37 like of age for the Companions of the Right. 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
