The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 Then where are you going? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
