Messengers, eat what is wholesome and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. 51 And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other). 52 But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. 53 So leave them in their confusion for a time. 54 Think they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We provide them 55 We [but want to] make them vie with one another in doing [what they consider] good works? Nay, but they do not perceive [their error]! 56 Surely those who stand in awe for fear of their Lord, 57 and who believe in their Sustainer's messages, 58 Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord; 59 And those who give that which they give with hearts afraid because they are about to return unto their Lord, 60 These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. 61 We do not lay a burden on anyone beyond his capacity. We have a Book with Us that speaks the truth (about everyone); and they shall in no wise be wronged. 62 Nay, their hearts are in overwhelming ignorance with respect to it and they have besides this other deeds which they do. 63 But when We will strike with torment those (unbelievers) who are rich, they will start to cry for help. 64 Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly, you shall not be helped by Us. 65 My communications were indeed recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels, 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Have they not pondered over the Word (of Allah, i.e. what is sent down to the Prophet SAW), or has there come to them what had not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or is it that they did not recognize their Messenger (Muhammad SAW) so they deny him? 69 Do they say he is possessed? Rather he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse to the truth. 70 And had the Truth followed their desires, then indeed the heavens and the earth and all those who are in them would be destroyed; in fact We brought to them a thing in which lay their repute, so they are turned away from their own repute. 71 Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision. 72 and, most surely, you are calling them to a straight path. 73 And most surely those who do not believe in the hereafter are deviating from the way. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed their afflictions, they would still persist in their insolence, blindly wandering. 75 And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus] 76 Until when We shall open upon them a portal of severe torment, and lo! thereat they are desparing. 77
