Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
