۞ And those who do not expect to meet Us said, “Why were the angels not sent down to us or we been able to see our Lord?” Indeed they thought too highly of themselves and they turned extremely rebellious. 21 The Day whereon they shall behold the angels on that day there will be no joy for the culprits, and they will say: away! away! 22 We shall turn to their deeds and scatter them like particles of dust. 23 The dwellers of Paradise on that day will have the best residence and resting place. 24 On that Day, a cloud will appear rending the sky and the angels will be senthi down rank after rank. 25 The kingdom on that day shall rightly belong to the Beneficent Allah, and a hard day shall it be for the unbelievers. 26 On the Day when the wrong-doer shall gnaw his hands saying: would that I had taken with the apostle a way! 27 Oh, woe is me! Would that I had not taken so-and-so for a friend! 28 He led me astray from the Warning after it had come to me. Satan always betrays man. 29 The prophet will say: "O my Lord, my people had fettered the Qur'an." 30 Even so have We appointed unto every prophet an opponent from among the guilty; but Allah sufficeth for a Guide and Helper. 31 And the disbelievers say, “Why was the Qur’an not sent down to him all at once?” This is how We sent it in stages, in order to strengthen your heart with it and We read it slowly, in stages. 32 There is not an example they advance to which We do not give you a right answer and a better explanation. 33 Those who will be gathered to Hell (prone) on their faces, such will be in an evil state, and most astray from the (Straight) Path. 34
