And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a Sign to them - (to wit, the Makkans) - that the learned men of the Children of Israel know that? 197 Had We revealed it to a non-Arab 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 So do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished. 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 and when thou turnest about among those who bow. 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the Satans come down? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
True are the words of God the Almighty.
