“O Noble Messengers, eat good clean things, and do good deeds; I know all that you do.” 51 Verily this your order is one order, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But they split in their affair between them into sects, each party rejoicing in what is with them. 53 So leave them in their error till a time. 54 What, do they think that We succour them with of wealth and children, 55 We are hastening them on to good things? Aye! they perceive not. 56 Surely they who from fear of their Lord are cautious, 57 And they who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 who associate none with their Lord, 59 and those who give what they give, their hearts quaking that they are returning to their Lord -- 60 These people hasten to perform goodness, and it is they who shall reach it first. 61 We do not impose on any soul what is beyond its capacity. We have the Book which speaks the truth and no injustice will be done to it. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 My communications were indeed recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels, 66 and arrogantly mocked and reviled them. 67 Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or is it that they have not recognized their Apostle, so that they deny him? 69 Or, say they: in him is madness? O Aye he brought them the truth, and most of them to the truth are averse. 70 And should the truth follow their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those who are therein would have perished. Nay! We have brought to them their reminder, but from their reminder they turn aside. 71 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. 72 And verily thou! thou callest them unto a Path straight. 73 but those who disbelieve the life hereafter deviate from the right path. 74 ۞ Even if We were to grant them mercy and rescue them from hardship, they would still blindly persist in their rebellion. 75 We seized them with the punishment, but they did not surrender to their Lord, nor will they humble themselves 76 until We open before them a gate of [truly] severe suffering [in the life to come]: and then, lo! they will be broken in spirit. 77
